Home Again

It felt like only a few weeks ago since I wrote my last entry, yet I didn't realize how time passed by like a gust of wind.

Well, it's not exactly without a trace how my days went by ...

At least, I am now sitting at a completely different spot on earth trying to pick up from where I left off - in between, there were packing, moving, unpacking, settling, travelling, festivities, celebrations, great sceneries, new discoveries and many other pleasurable happenings.

I am happy to be home again!

Happiness 101

Pleasure can be as simple as making yourself a nice breakfast ...

Bananas make me happy!  This morning I woke up to 2 almost over-ripened bananas and decided to give myself a good treat!  It totally makes my day!

French Toast with Bananas (Serves 2)
4 slices of bread
2 bananas
2 large eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1 Tbsp organic sugar
1 Tbsp sunflower seeds (or any of your favourite nuts)
Drizzle of honey
Butter
Olive Oil

Cut bananas in half and slice across each piece lengthwise.  Put banana slices into hot oiled pan.  Sprinkle organic sugar onto the uncooked side of the banana slices.  Turn the banana slices when the down side is browned.  Fry the sugar coated side until the sugar starts to caramelize.  Put aside bananas.
Beat eggs and mix in with milk.  Soak bread slices into milk mixture.  Fry bread slices in butter/ olive oil over medium heat until both sides are slightly browned.
Place cooked bananas on french toasts, drizzle over honey and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.  Of course, you can be creative (or greedy?!) and add in all sorts of extra condiments like cinnamon powder, chocolate sauce, ice cream and so on.

Preface

Shortly after my birthday and summer travelling, I have decided to take on new interests like running, painting, blogging and so on.  These are not any new found love but things that I have always wanted to do but keep procrastinating.
Of course, there are many other things that I am dragging my feet to start but I hope this new blog entry is a good sign that one day I would conquer them all!
This blog is about things that I do to make life more pleasurable.  I have always been a carefree person who (to the eyes of some others) enjoy life a bit too much, move around a bit too often and forget nuisances a bit too quickly.  But, isn't life a bit too short to be miserable?

The fact is I don't actually try very hard to look for happiness, however, I look hard enough at even the tiniest  things to find pleasure.
